National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

This year the Kern County Sheriff's Office will be holding it's National Night Out Event at the Sheriff's Headquarters, 1350 Norris Rd, Bakersfield, on October 20th, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All are welcome.

Kern County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters Tours

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office offers tours of our Headquarters at various times of the year. If your group is interested in taking a tour please call the Crime Prevention Unit at (661) 391-7559 to schedule your reservation. Up to 30 persons can be accommodated. Reserve today! Space is limited.

Tour Dates and Times:

  • Friday, July 1, 2022, from 8:30 am to 10:00 am
  • Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am
  • Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
